Black River Landing is located one block East of Broadway in Downtown Lorain. Free parking is available in the Downtown Area and at the festival site during most events. Please bring a blanket or lawn chair to the events for your comfort!

The U.S. Route 6 (Erie Ave.) bridge will be closed June 4 through August 28. As an alternate route please use OH-611 to OH-57 (Broadway) and turn right on Broadway.
The bridge will be open three weekends this summer:
June 27-29 for The International Festival
July 3-5 for the 4th of July Fireworks
July 18-20 for Port Fest

Black River Nature Tours
Wednesdays starting June 18 through August 27th - The Black River Landing Dock located near the International Flagpoles
The LORAIN PORT AUTHORITY in partnership with the LORAIN COUNTY METROPARKS announces the return of the BLACK RIVER NATURE TOURS for 2008!
A variety of wildlife can be seen on the tours, including osprey, eagles, herons and deer. Lorain Port Authority staff and Lorain County MetroParks naturalists will provide information on wildlife, flora and fauna, and landmarks of interest during the cruises.
The vessel departs at approximately 6:30pm from the Black River Landing dock located near the International Flagpoles. Please arrive 15 minutes early to ensure an on-time departure.
Parking is available throughout the festival site.
Please contact the Lorain Port Authority at (440) 204-2273 for $12 tickets. Passengers must be at least 30 lbs to come onboard.
Bring your cameras and binoculars to enjoy the sights!

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased in advance, call the Black River Historical Society at (440) 245-2563 M-F 10am-4:30p, or Sun. 1-4:30pm.
We will depart from Riverside Park. Please arrive 15 minutes early if you already have tickets. If you need to purchase tickets the day of, please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure to check availability. Cash and checks are accepted.

The American Cancer Society Lorain Relay for Life
July 26, 2008 - Black River Landing
The American Cancer Society Lorain Relay for Life will be held Saturday July 26, 2008 beginning at noon and ending on Sunday July 27, 2008 at 9:00 AM at the Black River Landing in Lorain. Relay for Life is the signature event of the American Cancer Society. The theme this year is Carnival. There will be food, music, games and much, much more!

A Taste of History
August 9th - Black River Landing
The Black River Historical Society will be hosting “ A Taste of History” on Saturday, August 9, from Noon until 9 p.m at Black River Landing in Lorain. Included in “A Taste of History” will be “Antiques, Arts and Crafts Show on the River” and “Ohio Wine on the Water” wine tasting. Admission is free for the “Antiques, Arts and Crafts Show on the River”. From Noon -6 p.m. Antique Value Estimates will be available for $5.00 for one item and $8.00 for two items. (No more than 2 please.) For “Ohio Wine on the Water”, seven area wineries will be present to offer 5 samples of their wines and a wine glass for $10.00. Chubby’s Family Bar-B-Q will be available for hungry appetites and there will be free musical entertainment by "Folktic", "Utah Witherspoon" and Tim Blake. The Farmer’s Market will also be open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the train depot. A few vendor spaces are still available. New vendors are welcome.
